Job Description

Personnel Resources has an opening for an Estimator with a well established organization specializing in steel productions. This position offers a competitive salary with a full benefits package. This position works Monday-Friday, approximately 45 hours per week. The Estimator will develop cost estimates for structural steel projects and deliver quotes to clients, architects, subcontractors and internal production team.Job Functions: 
  • Prepare estimates for new projects and update changes to existing orders
  • Interpret customer requirements and revise quotes based upon product requirements from drawings and/or email and phone communication 
  • Work closely with sales reps to obtain information, make change recommendations or substitutions to improve product or cost
  • Assist in providing details for drafting, production and orders
  • Generate quotes based on communication received internally, via e-mail and customer interactions
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients
Requirements: 
  • Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or Other Related Field
  • Must have a proven ability to communicate well both verbally and written
  • Must have a strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with Auto-Cad software is encouraged
  • Must be punctual and have a high attention to detail. Overtime is also required for this position
