Job Description
We have immediate openings for Radiology Techs at a local medical office in Enterprise, AL. The ideal candidate must have a valid certification and prior experience. They offer excellent benefits including health insurance, PTO, and a 401k plan!
Pay will start at $17.00 per hour and goes up based on your experience. They are working a Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 5pm and Friday 7:30am - 12pm schedule.
Duties:
Prepares and positions patient for diagnostic imaging procedures.
Adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified area of body requested by physician.
Explains procedures to patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
Determines exposure factors and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors and produce images of proper detail, density, and accuracy.
Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff.
Processes images and reviews for proper identification and quality control
Prepares images for reading by radiologist or requesting physician.
Completes forms and maintains records, logs, and reports of work performed in electronic medical records system.
Other duties as assigned. For Example: Casting (Application and Removal), Sterilizing Instruments, help putting away supplies.
Requirements:
Valid certification as an X-ray Technician
Proficiency in medical terminology and anatomy knowledge
Strong understanding of physiology and diagnostic evaluation techniques
Experience with mammography, CT scans, and other imaging modalities is preferred
