Job Description
We are immediately recruiting for a direct hire position as an Accounting & HR Specialist at a leading manufacturer in Dothan, AL. The ideal candidate needs to have a background in AP/AR work as well as some basic human resources knowledge. Pay will range between $18.00 - $23.00 per hour and you will work a Monday-Friday 8am-5pm schedule.
Duties:
Gather invoices and receiving paperwork from multiple sources such as email, mail, employee offices
Review invoices for accuracy and completeness, note discrepancies
Print checks or facilitate ACH payments weekly
Maintain 1099 information on vendors
Remit sales tax monthly
Maintain AP ACH bank account, initiate ACH for vendor payments, reconcile payments with requests
Organize all credit card charges into form to facilitate information sharing
Pull time sheets from time clock and review for missing time, overtime to be approved
Gather time off sheets and match with time sheets-email supervisors with questions
Keep employee files current including benefit and attendance records-both physical and digital files
Source and attract candidates by posting job opportunities in person and on databases, websites, social media
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred
Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll or related field
Prior HR experience is preferred
Excellent computer skills including experience with the MS Office Suite
