Accounting and Payroll Specialist
Pay Rate: $25-$28
Schedule: 7:30am-4pm
Personnel Resources is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting and Payroll Specialist. This role supports daily accounting operations and payroll processing while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellent internal customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process payroll accurately and maintain payroll and employee compensation records.
• Review timesheets, payroll changes, and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Assist with accounts payable and receivable, including invoices, payments, and customer accounts.
• Prepare reconciliations, support month-end close activities, financial reporting, payroll tax filings, and audit documentation.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with payroll, accounting, and company procedures.
• Collaborate with internal departments and support process improvement initiatives.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
• Two or more years of payroll, accounting, or bookkeeping experience preferred.
• Knowledge of payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable, and general accounting practices.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks, payroll/accounting software, and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and handle confidential information professionally.
• Two or more years of payroll, accounting, or bookkeeping experience preferred.
• Knowledge of payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable, and general accounting practices.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks, payroll/accounting software, and Microsoft Excel.
