Job Description
Personnel Resources is seeking an immediate direct hire for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Dothan, AL. This position is responsible for performing accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions.
Pay will range between $19.00 - $21.00 per hour with a full benefits package offered including comprehensive health insurance, PTO, and a 401k with 3% match!
Essential Job Responsibilities:
· Assist with answering phones
· Review and verify invoices and check requests
· Sort, code and match invoices
· Set invoices up for payment
· Enter and upload invoices into system
· Prepare and perform check runs
· Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
· Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
· Maintain vendor files
· Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
· Provide supporting documentation for audits
· Performs other duties or special projects as assigned
Education and Experience / Job Requirements:
· Knowledge of accounts payable and general accounting procedures
· Knowledge of relevant accounting software; JD Edwards, Kofax, Excel, Word, Adobe and Outlook
· Proficient in data entry and management
· 3 years accounts payable or general accounting experience
