Personnel Resources has a client with an immediate opening to join their team as an AP Specialist in Dothan, AL. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial transactions related to accounts payable.

They are offering pay starting at $16.00 per hour and will be working a Monday-Friday 8am-5pm schedule.

Job Description:

• Assemble, review and verify invoices and check requests
• Sort, code and post into accounting system
• Track expenses and process employee expense reports
• Prepare and process weekly check runs and mail checks
• Reconcile subledger to general ledger
• Maintain vendor and expense report files (A/P documents, payments, W-9)
• Correspond with vendors, respond to inquiries, reconcile vendor statements
• Reconcile credit card receipts and statements
• Prepare monthly sales and use tax information, reconcile general ledger accounts
• Preparation of annual 1099 reporting
• Compile data and prepares a variety of weekly and monthly reports, assist with month-end and year-end close process

Job Requirements and Skills Set:

• Knowledge of accounting principles and basic bookkeeping (Associates Degree in Accounting) - chart of accounts, basic debit/credit entry, accruals, deferrals, understanding of AP match for receiving PO invoices.
• 1-3 years of prior AP experience
• Proficient in MS Office especially Excel
• Prior experience with ERP systems is a plus
• German language skills are also a PLUS!
