Case Manager and Research Nurse
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Physician's Assistant (PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to serve as a Case Manager and Research Nurse for a private individual based in Dothan, Alabama.
This role functions as the “quarterback” for the individual’s healthcare, coordinating care across providers, advocating for the best medical outcomes, and helping navigate an increasingly complex healthcare system.
The ideal candidate is clinically experienced, highly organized, intellectually curious, and interested in medical research, science, and emerging healthcare technologies. This person will help ensure the individual has access to the most informed, coordinated, and forward-thinking care possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate care among physicians, specialists, and healthcare systems
- Serve as a trusted healthcare advocate and advisor
- Organize and maintain medical records, reports, and treatment plans
- Conduct research into medical conditions, treatments, and healthcare innovations
- Prepare for medical consultations and ensure continuity of care
- Help evaluate new medical technologies, treatments, and options when appropriate
- Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism
Qualifications
- CMGT-BC certification preferred
- Registered Nurse (RN) required
- Nurse Practitioner (NP) strongly preferred
- Physician's Assistant (PA) preferred
- Active nursing license (or ability to obtain in Alabama)
- Experience in care coordination, case management, or complex patient care preferred
- Strong interest in science, medical research, and healthcare innovation
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills
- High level of discretion and professionalism
This is a unique opportunity to play a meaningful role in guiding and coordinating high-level personal healthcare. Ideally looking for full time candidates but may consider part time as well.
Location: Dothan, Alabama
