Job Description

Personnel Resources has an immediate opening for an Elections Specialist. This position offers a 4 day work week with hours of 6:5am to 5:53pm Monday-Thursday. Pay range for this position is $14-16/hour.

Description:

Will be responsible for securely moving and storing election equipment
Coordinate and attend scheduled maintenance on machinery with vendors
Perform monthly inspections of election equipment
Oversee voting machine testing prior to elections
Seal machines and deliver test tapes and ballots to the Probate Judge
Perform routine maintenance on election equipment trailers
Maintain files on polling places including photos, diagrams and ADA compliance check sheets
Transfer and supervise trustees on delivery of equipment
Assist with monitoring polling places on election days
Prepare ballots and materials for election days as well as distribute to locations

Requirements:

High school diploma/GED
Accurate typing skills, demonstrates a working knowledge of general office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to acquire knowledge of the laws and regulations governing the electoral process.
Must exhibit excellent communications skills, orally and in writing, with experience in public speaking.
Demonstrate leadership ability and exhibit organizational proficiency.
Must be able to bend, kneel, squat, stand and lift heavy objects at least 50lbs as needed and willing to work overtime.
Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record
