Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Drafter to join a team in Dothan, AL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and schematics that support the engineering and design projects. This role requires proficiency in various drafting software and a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in all designs. The Drafter will collaborate closely with engineers and project managers to develop plans that meet project specifications and requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and prepare detailed drawings, schematics, and layouts for various projects using CAD software.
  • Collaborate with engineers and architects to understand project requirements and translate them into technical drawings.
  • Create 2D and 3D models using software such as AutoCAD
  • Review and revise drawings based on feedback from team members or clients to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Maintain organized records of all drafts and revisions for future reference.
  • Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including specifications and reports.
  • Ensure that all designs adhere to industry standards and regulations.
Skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Strong understanding of schematics and technical drawing principles.
  • Ability to create detailed 2D animations as needed for presentations or project proposals.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members across various disciplines.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations is a plus.
