Accounting & Finance Assistant Manager
Pay: $70k per year
Job Summary
This interim role supports and oversees accounting and finance operations, with a planned transition into the Manager position within two years. The position requires a hands-on approach to financial management, reporting, and process improvement.
This interim role supports and oversees accounting and finance operations, with a planned transition into the Manager position within two years. The position requires a hands-on approach to financial management, reporting, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Oversee cash management, disbursements, and cash flow planning
- Perform month-end close and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Coordinate audit activities and liaise with auditors and internal teams
- Work with external tax preparers and support budgeting and financial planning
- Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes
- Complete ad-hoc financial projects as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
- Minimum of 8 years of experience, including manufacturing industry experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and general tax principles
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
