Direct Hire - Dining Center Manager

Job Description

Personnel Resources has a client seeking a Dining Center Manager to join their team at a private school. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the school's dining center. This includes managing the kitchen staff, maintaining food inventory, and ensuring that meals are prepared and served on time. This is a Direct Hire position in the Thomasville, GA area.

Job Requirements and Skills:

  • As the dining center manager, you would be responsible for overseeing the work of the kitchen staff, including cooks, food service workers, and dishwashers. You would be responsible for hiring and training staff, creating schedules, and ensuring that everyone is working effectively and efficiently.
  • You would be responsible for ordering food, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring that the dining center always has the necessary supplies to prepare meals. You would also need to keep track of expiration dates and rotate food to ensure that nothing goes to waste.
  • You would be responsible for ensuring that meals are prepared and served on time, and that students have a positive dining experience. You would need to work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure that they are prepared to handle any issues that may arise during meal service.
  • You would be responsible for ensuring that the dining center is clean, safe, and free of hazards. You would need to work with the kitchen staff to maintain cleanliness standards, and ensure that all equipment is in good working order.
  • You would be responsible for managing the dining center budget, including food and labor costs. You would need to work closely with the school's administration to ensure that the dining center is operating within budget.
  • You would need to communicate effectively with students and staff to ensure that everyone is informed about meal options and any changes to the menu. You would also need to be available to address any concerns or complaints that students or staff may have.
  • You would need to attend weekly management meetings and prepare all necessary reports prior to the meeting.

Education Requirements:

  • Associates Degree in a related field or 5+ years in casual dining management


  • Monday - Friday 5:30am - 2:30pm
