Job Description

Local church is adding a Media Coordinator to their communications team. This position will be responsible for creating video content, producing livestream and managing all digital operations for the church. The incumbent will work closely with the Pastor, Communications Team and volunteers to support goals of the ministry.Compensation:
  • Pay: $34,000 - $42,000 per year

Media Coordinator Responsibilities:
  • Production Leadership: Oversee audio, video, lighting, and live streaming for all worship services and church events.
  • Team Development: Recruit, train, and schedule volunteers; foster a culture of excellence and spiritual growth within the production team.
  • Creative Collaboration: Contribute creative insights for worship services and special events; assist in media content creation (videos, graphics).
  • Digital Communication Support: Create blog posts, newsletter content and assist with website and social media posts
  • Livestream Production: Produce and direct all livestream broadcasts for services and special events, work closely with the Technology Coordinator to ensure proper equipment function and maintenance, generate slides for online and in-person worship
Media Coordinator Qualifications:
  • 2-3 years of experience in media production such as filming, editing, producing and scripting
  • Proficient with Adobe Premiere Pro or similar editing system
  • Familiarity with DSLR/mirrorless cameras, audio gear and lighting
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot under pressure.
  • Knowledge of audio, video, lighting systems, and related software.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work Sundays and evenings, including special events (weddings, funerals, etc.).
  • Creative team-player with a passion for enhancing worship experiences.
Media Coordinator Preferred Skills:
  • Photography and graphic design experience
  • Familiarity with livestream platforms and tools
  • Knowledge of website CMS platforms
  • Basic understanding of social media trends and best practices
  • Experience working in a church or non-profit setting
