Job Description

Personnel Resources is seeking a highly skilled Direct Hire Electrical Technician to join a dynamic manufacturing team. As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for planning, layout, construction, and wiring of low voltage electrical panels (for both production and R&D). These panels will range in complexity and could involve multiple PLCs, VFDs, sensors, contactors, etc. This position may involve travel to service, troubleshoot, and startup electrical systems at our customer’s facility. At times, you will be responsible for helping with general R&D fabrication, experiments, and more.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordinate with both engineering and production regarding electrical panel creation and installation.
Troubleshoot equipment and/or electrical panels to identify and replace failed components.
Assemble electrical panels based on engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
Participate in machine startup to ensure the panel is operating correctly.
General R&D fabrication, experiment setup and teardown, and machine wiring.
Additional role responsibilities may be added as the production schedule demands.

Required Qualifications:

Experience assembling panels based on engineering drawings and diagrams.
Willingness to learn, travel, and work in a fast-paced environment•
Experience troubleshooting and working with low voltage AC and DC electrical systems.
General fabrication experience.
General computer experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Electrical or mechanical certifications.
Experience installing sensors, VFDs, PLCs, etc.
Experience operating heavy equipment.
