Job Description

Job Type: Full-Time | Salaried
We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and professional Forensic Interviewer/Family Advocate to join our team. This position conducts forensic interviews, provides support and advocacy to non-offending caregivers, and works closely with multidisciplinary team (MDT) partners to ensure children and families receive coordinated services throughout the investigation process.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct forensic and extended forensic interviews with child victims.
  • Build rapport with children and non-offending caregivers while providing support throughout the investigative and court process.
  • Coordinate with law enforcement, child protective services, medical providers, and other MDT partners.
  • Maintain accurate case files, documentation, and client database records.
  • Track case progress and assist with case review meetings.
  • Prepare statistical reports and maintain data for grants and program reporting.
  • Assist with Kid's Court, referrals, community outreach, and family resources.
  • Report urgent case concerns to the Executive Director.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or a related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of child abuse investigations, trauma-informed care, and the judicial process preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and engage with children of all ages.
  • Strong organizational, communication, documentation, and computer skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Flexible schedule with occasional evening or weekend responsibilities as needed.
  • Commitment to the mission of serving child victims and their families.
