Job Description: Interim Operations - General Manager

Our Client, a leading ISO 9001:2015 and IAFT 16949 certified contract manufacturer of CNC metal components for hydraulic, automotive, aerospace, and construction industries, is seeking an Interim Operations - General Manager to join their team in the Greater Racine Area. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a non-union manufacturing facility and collaborate with OEM and Tier 1 customers, providing precision components and technical assemblies. The General Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the company's success by providing advanced manufacturing solutions to OEMs worldwide.

Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Coaching: The Interim Operations - General Manager will be responsible for coaching and leading teams in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Scheduling, and Engineering. You will inspire the team to execute operational plans and achieve strategic and financial goals set by the executive team.

2. Operational Strategy: As a key member of the Leadership Team, you will contribute to the development of the strategic plan. Your expertise will be crucial in creating and executing manufacturing plans that align with financial objectives and customer requirements.

3. Organizational Development: Evaluate the leadership team, recommend appropriate structure, roles, and responsibilities. Create an organizational chart for future growth and actively participate in hiring employees to meet the expanding needs of the operations team.

4. Financial Acumen: Utilize strong financial acumen to understand costs and identify opportunities for improvement. Work towards optimizing operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

5. Continuous Improvement: Implement and lead Continuous Improvement (CI) and Lean Steering Team programs. Drive initiatives to improve uptime, Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE), and predictive maintenance programs, addressing root causes of machine downtime.

6. Collaboration and Communication: Foster a culture of collaboration and effective communication throughout the organization. Promote cross-departmental collaboration to enhance operations and overall company performance.

7. Employee Development: Develop employees to meet the evolving needs of the Operations department, creating career pathways for growth and professional development within the organization.

Requirements:

1. Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience in business, engineering, or technology is preferred. An MBA is a plus, demonstrating a higher level of business acumen.

2. Passion for Innovative Manufacturing: A genuine enthusiasm for exploring and implementing creative manufacturing solutions using CNC technology for highly engineered components.

3. Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading and coaching teams to execute plans and achieve manufacturing and operational goals.

4. Financial Understanding: Strong financial acumen with the ability to understand cost structures and identify improvement opportunities.

5. Strategic Planning: Proficiency in strategic planning and the ability to execute day-to-day operations in line with the established strategies.

6. Continuous Improvement Mindset: Experience in implementing and driving Continuous Improvement (CI) and Lean initiatives.

7. Effective Communication: Excellent communication and leadership skills to improve communication throughout the organization and foster collaboration.

Compensation:
