Loan Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Loan Assistant to join a dynamic financial services team. The ideal candidate will support loan officers in the loan origination process, ensuring compliance regulations and other industry standards are met. This role requires a strong understanding of credit analysis, and loan processing to facilitate smooth transactions for our clients.Responsibilities
  • Reviewing applications to verify the accuracy of loan applications and other documents
  • Preparing closing documents by compiling all documents needed for loan closings, including financial data, letters, and agreements
  • Processing loans through coordination with the loan operations department
  • Communicating with business customers by phone, mail, or in person to answer questions, request needed information and provide exceptional customer service
  • Coordinating closings with all parties involved
  • Maintaining records and loan files in the loan document retention system
  • Assisting with internal and external reviews and audits of the loan portfolio.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in banking or legal field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with loan origination processes and mortgage servicing is essential.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct credit analysis effectively.
  • Knowledge of underwriting principles and practices is a plus.
  • Proficiency in basic math and 10 key typing for efficient data entry.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm Pay: $20-25/hr
