Job Description
Position Overview:
As the Retail Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily store operations, managing staff, maintaining inventory, and ensuring customers receive exceptional service. The role of this position is to provide strategic leadership and day to day management for all functions of a specific building materials supply location. The role includes responsibility for retail operations, yard operations, inside sales, outside sales, and customer relations. The focus is on meeting sales and profitability goals, managing staff effectively, and enhancing customer relations.This position works a Monday- Friday 7a-5pm schedule with a rotating half day Saturday once a month.
Key Responsibilities:
At least 5 years’ experience in lumber and building materials or a related industry with location management experience; experience in building material sales preferred

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day store operations, including opening/closing procedures and scheduling
- Lead, coach, and motivate a team of sales associates and yard staff
- Maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure product availability
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and service issues promptly and professionally
- Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to meet or exceed targets
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Coordinate with suppliers and manage deliveries and purchase orders
- Oversee merchandising, signage, and store cleanliness
At least 5 years’ experience in lumber and building materials or a related industry with location management experience; experience in building material sales preferred
- Proven track record of meeting sales and business objectives
- Computer literacy and knowledge of current office technology.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Word and Excel.
- Exceptional organizational skills.

- Ability to work with confidential information.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of industry experience
