We are currently seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our team! You will be responsible for completing work orders and other required tasks. This position operates within SQF guidelines defining GMP standards for the safe production of food in the plant and offices within the standards of defined risk levels by area.

Responsibilities:

• Complete work and repair orders in a timely fashion
• Estimate time and extent of repairs
• Perform routine preventive maintenance
• Maintain material and supply inventory
• Daily plant inspections of operating systems
• Provide backup to the wastewater operator position
• Minor electrical and plumbing repairs and upgrades
• Work in variety of temperatures as in snow removal and salting of sidewalks
• Light carpentry functions
• Scraping, putting and painting of walls, woodwork and fixtures

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in maintenance or other related fields
• Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment
• Two years previous building maintenance experience preferred
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• High School diploma or equivalent
