Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations in our sawmill facility. This position is responsible for supervising maintenance personnel, ensuring equipment reliability, coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment. The pay is based on experience.
This is a safety-sensitive position.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise maintenance employees, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities.
- Ensure safe maintenance operations and compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and coordinate repairs of sawmill and plant equipment to minimize downtime.
- Manage maintenance work orders, documentation, and daily reporting.
- Coordinate purchases of maintenance supplies, tools, and repair materials.
- Work with plant management and outside contractors to support efficient operations.
Qualifications
- Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of industrial, manufacturing, sawmill, or heavy equipment maintenance experience.
- 3+ years of maintenance supervisory experience.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and leadership skills.
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs and equipment repair.
- Welding, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or industrial maintenance experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills and ability to use maintenance management software.
Physical & Work Environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in an industrial environment.
- Regular exposure to moving machinery, noise, vibration, and varying weather conditions.
- Must be able to safely perform duties in a safety-sensitive work environment.
