Job Description
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Manufacturing Safety Coordinator to join a team in Dothan, AL. As the Safety Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and compliance of our manufacturing operations. This role combines safety oversight with essential HR functions to promote a safe working environment and support our employees. They are offering a competitive salary between $55,000 - $60,000 per year with a generous benefits package!

- Develop, implement, and monitor safety programs and policies in accordance with OSHA regulations and company standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead safety training sessions for employees and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Investigate and report on workplace accidents and incidents, implementing measures to prevent recurrence.
- Assist in the recruitment and onboarding process for manufacturing staff, including conducting safety-related orientation.
- Maintain accurate employee records related to safety training and certifications.
- Collaborate with HR to address employee safety concerns and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Support the development and implementation of employee wellness programs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in safety coordination within a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
- Proven experience in handling HR functions related to safety and employee relations.
- Certification in safety (e.g., OSHA, CSP) is preferred.
