Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Marine Mechanic to join a well-established team in Dothan, AL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance, including the ability to read and interpret technical manuals/diagrams, and possess hands-on experience with electrical systems. In addition to technical skills, the successful candidate will be expected to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and provide exceptional sales support to our customers. Pay will start between $14.00 - $20.00 per hour based on your skills and experience. You will work Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm. They offer great benefits such as health insurance, PTO, and a 401k plan!
Duties:
Perform maintenance and repairs on marine vehicles, including boats, yachts, and other watercraft.
Conduct routine inspections to identify and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and technical issues.
Use hand tools and specialized equipment to disassemble, assemble, solder, and rig components.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and navigation equipment.
Conduct engine maintenance and repairs, including oil changes, filter replacements, and tune-ups.
Perform diagnostic tests using computerized systems to identify and resolve mechanical problems.
Maintain accurate records of all repairs, services performed, and parts used.
Experience:
Previous experience as a marine technician or in a similar role is preferred.
Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair techniques.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required.
Proficient in using hand tools and specialized equipment for repairs.
Familiarity with electrical systems in marine vehicles is highly desirable.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
