Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Marketing & Outreach Specialist to serve as a liaison between an organization and the local community in Dothan, AL. In this role, you will manage outreach efforts, build relationships, and enhance visibility through a blend of marketing, public relations, and community engagement.
The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with excellent networking skills, capable of fostering connections with local businesses, schools, nonprofits, and the public.
Salary: $60,000 - $75,000 annually

Marketing Outreach Specialist Responsibilities:
- Serve as the main point of contact between the organization and the community.
- Build and maintain partnerships with local businesses, schools, nonprofits, and community leaders.
- Plan, coordinate, and attend community events, sponsorships, and volunteer initiatives.
- Represent the organization at public engagements, networking events, and industry conferences.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the organization’s services and mission.
- Create marketing materials, including brochures, social media content, and newsletters.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment between marketing and outreach initiatives.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with media outlets, local organizations, and stakeholders.
- Draft social media posts and community announcements.
- Identify community needs and coordinate outreach initiatives.
- Provide reports on engagement, event participation, and marketing effectiveness.
Marketing Outreach Specialist Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Business, or a related field (preferred).
- 2+ years of experience in marketing, outreach, public relations, or community engagement.
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills.
- Experience with social media management and content creation.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Canva, and social media platforms.
- Comfortable speaking in public and representing the organization.
- Flexibility to work evenings or weekends for community events.
