Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join a growing team in Dothan, AL. The ideal candidate will assist healthcare professionals in providing medical care to patients. Pay will start at $15.00 per hour and offers an excellent benefits package! The working schedule is Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm.
Duties:
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Utilize medical terminology accurately in patient interactions and documentation
- Prepare patients for X-rays, MRIs, and other diagnostic procedures
- Support healthcare teams in operating rooms (OR) during surgical procedures
Requirements:
- Proficiency in medical terminology
- Experience working in urgent care or similar fast-paced environments is a plus
- Familiarity with medical systems for record-keeping and scheduling
- Ability to administer medications following established protocols
- Certification is preferred or at least 2+ years of experience
