Personnel Resources has a client with an immediate opening for an Ophthalmic Tech in Dothan, AL.

They are offering pay ranging between $13.00 - $14.00 per hour and will be working a Monday-Thursday 7:15am-5pm and Friday 7:15am-12pm schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preliminary patient screenings, including taking medical history and measuring visual acuity
• Assist ophthalmologists with diagnostic tests and procedures
• Administer eye drops and medications as directed by the physician
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow in the clinic
• Assist with contact lens fittings and adjustments
• Perform basic administrative tasks, such as answering phone calls and managing front desk duties

Skills:

• Prior knowledge of ophthalmic terminology and procedures is a plus
• Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
• Prior medical office experience of some kind is required
