Job Description
Are you passionate about eye care and eager to make a difference in patients' lives? We are seeking a dedicated Ophthalmic Technician to join a team in Dothan, AL. In this pivotal role, you’ll be an essential part of delivering exceptional patient care in a supportive and collaborative environment. Pay will start out at $12.00 per hour with no experience but will go up if you have prior ophthalmology experience. You will work a Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm schedule and they have loaner scrubs available to get you started right away!

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient interviews, documenting ocular and medical histories with attention to detail.
- Perform a variety of routine tests using advanced ophthalmic instruments, ensuring accurate results that aid in diagnosis.
- Work closely with physicians during examinations and procedures, administering medications as directed to ensure patient comfort and safety.
- Maintain meticulous patient records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy in all documentation.
- Prepare exam rooms efficiently and ensure smooth patient flow, enhancing the overall clinic experience.
- Collaborate with a passionate team to deliver exceptional patient care, contributing to a positive and professional environment.
What We’re Looking For:
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, multitasking effectively while maintaining a high standard of care.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine desire to help patients, fostering a welcoming and supportive atmosphere.
- Previous experience is a plus, but they are excited to train motivated individuals who are eager to grow in the field of ophthalmology.
- A commitment to following clinic policies and procedures to ensure safety and compliance.
- Clear and effective communication skills to interact with patients and colleagues alike, ensuring seamless operations.
