Job Description
We are hiring immediately for a Bookkeeper to work part-time hours in an accounting office here in Dothan, AL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring accuracy in financial transactions.
Pay for this position will range between $17.00 - $19.00 per hour based on your prior experience. The hours will be flexible ranging between 20-25 per week.
Daily Duties:
Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Prepare and send invoices to clients
Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
Assist with payroll processing and tax preparation
Conduct account reconciliation to ensure accuracy
Generate financial reports for management review
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:
Proficiency in bookkeeping principles including double-entry bookkeeping and GAAP
Experience with Quickbooks is a must
Knowledge of tax procedures and regulations
Familiarity with clerical duties like 10-key typing
Understanding of debits, credits, and account reconciliation
Ability to perform bank reconciliations effectively
Experience in Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes
