Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Patient Account Representative to join a medical office team in Dothan, AL. In this role, you will be responsible for managing patient accounts and ensuring timely payment processing. Key responsibilities include:

Basic Insurance Knowledge: Understanding of insurance billing, coverage, and verification processes.
Posting Patient Payments: Accurately posting payments to patient accounts and reconciling discrepancies.
Calling Past Due Accounts: Reaching out to patients with outstanding balances, discussing payment options, and resolving issues.
Taking Payments Over the Phone: Processing credit card and other payments securely over the phone.
Explaining Patient Bills: Answering patient inquiries about their statements, explaining charges, and providing clear billing information.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to handle sensitive information, and experience with medical billing systems. Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred. If you are organized, customer-focused, and ready to contribute to a collaborative team, we want to hear from you!
