Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Clerk. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires proficiency in payroll management and accounting software, as well as strong analytical skills to support various financial functions.
Responsibilities
Process payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Filing and scanning all employee paperwork to their employee file
Process and setup garnishments
Auditing monthly statements and billing
Complete all employment verifications
Process payroll for hourly and salary employees
Maintain human resource files
Log all reprimands and correct payroll deduction
Organize all lease vehicles, auto and insurance paperwork
File tax reports
Maintain PTO and Floating Holiday reporting
Experience
Proven experience in payroll management or a related field is essential.
Proficient in data entry with a high level of accuracy.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are a must.
Ability to perform with accuracy in a fast-paced environment
Must be consistent and uphold a high level of confidentiality
Previous experience in JD Edwards is a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Superior computer skills (proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, etc.)
Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills
Understanding and ability to adhere to generally accepted HR policies and principles
