Job Description
Personnel Resources is currently recruiting a Direct Hire Process Engineer for a manufacturing facility within the Wiregrass Area. Ideal candidates will have previous experience in manufacturing and can be either Chemical or Mechanical. However, new graduates are encouraged to apply.
This position will provide support for process optimization studies or continuous improvement projects in the Process, utilities, and other plant departments. This position will receive work direction or assignments from the Plant Manager/Process and Technology Development Manager/Director of Operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Other duties may be assigned depending upon operational needs.
Participate in or lead specific studies directed at continuous manufacturing improvement or process optimization.
Assist Plant Manager or Production Managers in troubleshooting process issues as required.
Assist Plant Manager or Production Managers in developing key manufacturing performance strategies and reports.
Gain Manufacturing process knowledge while working on various improvement or optimization studies.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factors.
Ability to prioritize and organize tasks.
Communication and “customer service skills are required in relationships with coworkers, management, and other departments within the company.
Mechanical aptitude and trouble-shooting skills.
Computer proficiency, especially in Microsoft Excel, required.
Ability to design and/or utilize complex spreadsheets to organize and analyze data.
EDUCATION
Engineering degree required.
