Job Description
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Property Accountant for a growing company in Dothan, AL. The Property Accountant will be responsible for overseeing financial matters related to property management, ensuring accurate accounting records, and compliance with financial regulations. They offer generous compensation starting between $55,000 - $60,000 per year and a full benefits package!
Duties
- Manage corporate and governmental accounting functions for properties
- Conduct general ledger reconciliation and financial report writing
- Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements
- Utilize knowledge of GAAP and SOX in financial management
- Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks
- Familiarity with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) is a plus
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 1 year proven experience in property accounting or related field
- Strong understanding of financial principles and practices
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of GAAP, SOX, and regulatory reporting standards
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently
