Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Property Accountant to support accounting operations for assigned hotel properties. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, accounting experience, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with management and team members.
Responsibilities
- Process payroll accurately and on time.
- Review payroll reports and make necessary adjustments.
- Monitor hotel revenue, expenses, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, and cash processing.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements and close processes.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and sales tax returns.
- Complete bank reconciliations.
- Identify and communicate accounting discrepancies or issues to management.
- Ensure accounting functions are performed according to company policies and procedures.
- Maintain professionalism, accuracy, confidentiality, honesty, and trustworthiness.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
- 2–3 years of accounting experience preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and accounting software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Hotel or hospitality accounting experience is a plus.
- Must be flexible and available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Must be able to pass required security/background clearance.
