Our client is a leading custom thermoplastic injection molder with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality IMD (In-Mold Decorating), IML (In-Mold Labeling), and IME (In-Mold Electronics) products. They are committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality in their manufacturing processes and ensuring products meet or exceed customer expectations. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking a dedicated Quality Inspection/Control Technician with experience in a lead or supervision role to join their team.

As a Lead Quality Inspection/Control Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving our quality control processes. You will be responsible for analyzing and solving day-to-day quality problems, monitoring inspection results, and taking corrective actions when non-conformity's arise. Additionally, you will manage containment inspection for internal and external issues, supervise rework activities when necessary, and act as a key point of contact for all quality-related matters.

Responsibilities:

Quality Problem Resolution: Analyze and resolve daily quality problems that may arise in the production process, ensuring that quality standards are consistently met.

Non-Conformity Management: Monitor inspection results and take immediate actions when non-conformities are identified, collaborating with production teams to rectify issues promptly.

Containment Inspection: Lead containment inspection efforts for internal and external quality concerns, working closely with cross-functional teams to isolate and address issues.

Visual Quality Standards: Understand, maintain, and enforce the approved visual quality standards, providing guidance and direction to operators and inspectors as needed to ensure adherence to these standards.

Liaison to Management: Act as the primary liaison to management when conformance issues are uncertain, seeking answers and resolutions that uphold quality requirements.

Internal Audits: Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with quality control processes and standards, maintaining accurate records and documentation.

Supervision: Supervise in-process auditors and visual quality inspectors across all shifts, ensuring a consistent and high standard of quality control. Schedule, train, and provide ongoing support to the audit and inspection teams.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a lead or supervision role in a manufacturing or quality control setting is preferred.
Proficiency in using measuring instruments and a deep understanding of quality control processes.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, informed decisions.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and management.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to upholding quality standards.
Prior experience in custom thermoplastic injection molding and knowledge of IMD, IML, and IME products is a plus.
