Job Description
Personnel Resources has a client with immediate openings for Radiology Techs in Dothan, AL.
Pay will start at $17.00 per hour and goes up based on your experience. They are working a Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 5pm and Friday 7:30am - 12pm schedule.
Duties:
Pay will start at $17.00 per hour and goes up based on your experience. They are working a Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 5pm and Friday 7:30am - 12pm schedule.
Duties:
- Prepares and positions patient for diagnostic imaging procedures.
- Adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified area of body requested by physician.
- Explains procedures to patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
- Determines exposure factors and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors and produce images of proper detail, density, and accuracy.
- Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff.
- Processes images and reviews for proper identification and quality control
- Prepares images for reading by radiologist or requesting physician.
- Completes forms and maintains records, logs, and reports of work performed in electronic medical records system.
- Other duties as assigned. For Example: Casting (Application and Removal), Sterilizing Instruments, help putting away supplies.
- Valid certification as an X-ray Technician
- Proficiency in medical terminology and anatomy knowledge
- Strong understanding of physiology and diagnostic evaluation techniques
- Experience with mammography, CT scans, and other imaging modalities is preferred
