Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Department Manager to oversee operations within a large retail store in Dothan. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As a Department Manager, you will be responsible for supervising department staff, optimizing sales performance, and ensuring that inventory is well-maintained.
Responsibilities
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Department Manager to oversee operations within a large retail store in Dothan. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As a Department Manager, you will be responsible for supervising department staff, optimizing sales performance, and ensuring that inventory is well-maintained.
Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate a team of employees to achieve sales targets and provide outstanding customer service.
- Maximize sales and enhance customer experience by collaborating with other department leaders and store management
- Assist with the inventory process
- Increase knowledge of products offered to provide the best customer experience
- Develop team members along with the Store Manager
- HS Diploma/GED is required. Degree in Business or related field is preferred but not required
- Must have 2-3 years proven experience in retail or sales management
- Must have computer skills to include point of sale, typing, understanding of Excel and generating reports and Inventory Management Programs
- Must be able to work a 5 day schedule to include Saturdays and popular shopping dates
