Job Description
We're seeking a Safety Coordinator to drive safety initiatives across all levels of a manufacturing facility in Dothan, AL. You'll play a pivotal role in implementing strategies to minimize incidents and uphold industry-leading standards. Responsibilities include overseeing training, meetings, risk assessments, and audits to ensure compliance with HSE systems and processes. You'll supervise safety technicians and travel as needed.
Pay will start between $25.00 - $30.00 per hour with a full benefits package offered including comprehensive health insurance and a 401k plan!
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain occupational health and safety policies compliant with OSHA, NFPA, EPA, and internal standards.
Collaborate with teams to ensure facilities meet regulatory requirements and conduct regular HSE inspections.
Manage PPE inventory and ensure timely and accurate HSE reporting.
Maintain HSE logs, prepare reports, and oversee Accident/Incident reports and investigations.
Support safety management system through document control procedures.
Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and manage programs like hearing conservation and Lock-Out/Tag-Out.
Coordinate Health & Safety Days, safety meetings, workshops, and drills to enhance safety culture.
Review new equipment and plant layouts for HSE compliance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, occupational health and safety, or related field preferred.
Knowledge of OSHA / EPA regulations and standards.
5-7 years of HSE Technician experience in manufacturing preferred.
Environmental experience and training development skills are advantageous.
Strong team collaboration and confidentiality management skills.
