Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead and oversee safety programs in a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for maintaining OSHA compliance, reducing workplace hazards, training employees, and promoting a strong safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain OSHA safety policies and programs.
- Conduct workplace inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits.
- Lead accident and incident investigations and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct new-hire safety orientation and ongoing safety training.
- Manage PPE compliance and safety requirements.
- Provide training on forklift, overhead crane, LOTO, fire, and severe-weather safety.
- Prepare safety reports, track safety statistics, and identify trends.
- Work with maintenance and operations to address workplace hazards.
- Ensure compliance with applicable OSHA and environmental regulations.
- Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of related safety experience, preferably in manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety practices.
- Experience with accident investigations, risk assessments, and safety training.
- Experience developing safety policies and procedures.
- Strong communication, organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety management systems.
- Safety certification preferred.
Work Environment
This is an on-site position requiring regular work in both an office and manufacturing environment. The position may require standing and walking for extended periods, climbing, kneeling, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Salary: $60,000-$90,000 based on experience and qualifications
