Job Description
We are currently hiring for a School Nurse - LPN or RN to work in the schools in the Houston County area. This position will start in August and last through the entire school year. This will be an ongoing position each year with summers off.
Pay will rate will start at $18.00 per hour and you will have all weekends and holidays off!
Responsibilities:
Conduct health screenings including vision, hearing, dental, height and weight, and others as needed
Maintains health records on each student and a clinic log of visits
Handle caring for diabetics, seizures, tube feedings, intermittent catheterizations as well as medication administration, and miscellaneous office visits
Administer CPR in emergency situations as well as routine first aid and referrals for more serious illness or injury
Qualifications:
Must hold a valid LPN or RN license issued by the State Board of Medicine
Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
Prior experience working in pediatrics is a plus
2-5 years prior hospital and med-surge experience is required
