Job Description

Direct Hire opportunity for growing business in Dothan, Al. to join their team as an accountant. The Accountant is responsible for managing the company’s financial records, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with financial regulations. This role involves handling accounts payable/receivable, preparing financial statements, supporting budgeting and forecasting efforts, and ensuring efficient financial operations.Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare financial reports and statements for management review.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and timely.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
  • Support external audits and provide necessary documentation.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to optimize financial procedures and systems.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in manufacturing or construction industries.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Position offers Monday- Thursday 10 work day schedule
