Job Description
Are you an experience surgery tech looking to grow your career? We are immediately hiring for a Surgery Technician at a leading medical office in Dothan, AL.
Pay will start at $14.00 per hour and will be working Monday - Friday between the hours of 6am and 5pm depending on the surgery schedule. Scrubs will be provided!
Duties:
Prepare and transport patients for surgical procedures
Provide assistance to surgeons and OR nurses by passing tools, dressing incisions and other functions as required
Monitor patients' vital signs during procedures and recovery
Maintain a clean and safe environment by following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
Provide basic life support when necessary
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care
Sterilize equipment, operating rooms and ensure all necessary equipment is in place for scheduled procedures
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Two years experience in patient care within a hospital, intensive care unit or surgery center is required
Prior surgery tech experience is preferred but not required
Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environmentMust be able to lift up to 15lbs and stand for long periods of time
