Job Description

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Transportation Accounting Clerk to support the accounting operations related to driver expenses, payroll, and tax filings. This role serves as a key contact for driver and manager inquiries and ensures accurate reconciliation of accounts.
Pay & Schedule:

$13-15/hr
Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

Key Responsibilities:

Reconcile general ledger accounts for company drivers and contractors
Assist with driver payroll and process expense-related journal entries
Prepare and send driver advance/expense reports and bonuses
Manage driver-related tax filings (sales/use tax and general excise tax)
Import fuel and cash advance transactions (Comdata/EFS)
Maintain Independent Contractor Agreements
Provide support for driver pay questions and Comdata MasterCard setup
Collaborate with Accounts Payable as needed

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Accounting/Business preferred
3+ years of relevant experience
Strong accounting and data entry skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and 10-key calculator
Experience with accounting software and systems
